Description

The Assal sofa by Roberto Cavalli features sinuous lines inspired by organic and natural shapes, evoking the beauty of the African lake in Djibouti that shares its name. This reference to wild lands is a testament to Roberto Cavalli's fascination with nature, which has long served as a source of inspiration. The cushions with animal prints by designer Fausto Puglisi, are declined in neutral shades, for a refined tone on tone effect.

Roberto Cavalli was born in 1940 in Florence, Italy. His grandfather, Giuseppe Rossi, was a prominent painter of the Macchiaioli group and had a great influence on Roberto's early development in the art world.

Roberto Cavalli, who had a passion for patterns and creativity from his time at the Florence Art Academy, started his own printing business in the Seventies. With his entrepreneurial attitude, boundless imagination and creativity, he was able to bring Italian printing into the modern era.
