The clean and simple CH36 dining chair is as comfortable to sit in as it is beautiful to behold. Craftsmanship and attention to detail are clear to see. This 1962 design demonstrates the influence American Shaker furniture principles and craftsmanship had on Wegner’s work.

The backrest is significantly more curved at the top than at the bottom to optimize back support. The CH36 has an elegant appearance, the overall expression is completed with the frame and the seat hand-woven in durable paper cord. 

The chair is also available with armrests: model number CH37, for added comfort and support.

Often referred to as the master of the chair, he has created almost 500 chairs in his lifetime, many of them considered masterpieces. He is considered one of the most creative among Danish furniture designers.
