Description

The 38 Surface Light collection is designed to be composed and arranged in creative groupings. The mounting plates are designed to be installed on walls or ceilings. The spheres are carefully composed to create an overall ambiance that enhances the beauty and uniqueness of each piece.

The fabrication technique of 38 collection, originally developed for 28, pushes its technical and material limits. A large glass sphere is blown with a multitude of interior cavities, which intersect and collide with each other in unpredictable ways, those can be filled with plants or left empty. It consists in different variants such as: Copper, Random, Semi Rigid, Armature, Stem and table lights. 

Bocci is a design and manufacturing company based in Vancouver and Berlin. Omer Arbel cultivates a fluid position, between the fields of architecture, sculpture and design. Founded in 2005 its focal themes include the exploration of light as a medium.
