Description

The Semi-Rigid suspension pendants are designed to be composed in different setups. They are made to be suspended horizontally, defying the pull of gravity. To achieve this, the pendants can be hung from a range of alternate swag points, positioned apart from the canopy. The 57.1 to 57.7 have adjustable lengths and it can be set and re-set on site by the user. Each pendant comes standard with 3m of coax cable.

The 57 collection is produced using a manufacturing method that involves creating various sizes and shapes of air pockets within a larger mass of opaline glass in either white or dark grey. These pockets of air remain invisible when the piece is turned off, but come alive to reveal the interior voids when the piece is illuminated. It consists in different variants such as: Random, Semi Rigid, Stem and Table lights. 

Bocci is a design and manufacturing company based in Vancouver and Berlin. Omer Arbel cultivates a fluid position, between the fields of architecture, sculpture and design. Founded in 2005 its focal themes include the exploration of light as a medium.
