Description

Manila collection presents a range of lamps that beautifully combines artisanal blown glass with a plissé textile diffuser. The name is derived from the Spanish "Mantón de Manila," a traditional silk shawl worn by flamenco dancers. The collection includes ceiling and pendant lamps.

Parachilna has a short, but solid history of producing a range of uniquely designed lamps. Always putting the respect for design and the quality of materials and manufacturing techniques at the front. Parachilna also specializes in managing, from start to finish, tailor-made decorative lighting solutions. Starting from a design, developing a prototype and ending with a completed product.

Sebastian Herkner studied into Product Design at HfG Offenbach University of Art and Design, where directed his attention towards crafting objects and furniture with sensibility for materials, colors and textures. Herkner established his own studio in 2006. Since then, he has been creating furniture, lamps and various smaller objects.
