Description

This restructuring in form maintains the essence of the models created by Mies van der Rohe and Lilly Reich in 1930. PK81 was designed to furnish the public area of the new Tårnby town hall by Halldor Gunløgsson and Jørn Nielsen. Its artisanal essentiality has made it an element of the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.

The Kjærholm Collection is the result of an important legacy entrusted to Fritz Hansen by the administrators of Kjærholm two years after renowned designer passed away. The collection contains a selection of models developed from 1951 to 1980, and aims to keep the artist's flame alive, so that his creative genius remains for future generations.

Fritz Hansen has been an important name in furniture manufacturing worldwide for more than 150 years. By collaborating with visionary artists he gives life to innovative designs that represent the undisputed hallmark of Danish style.
