Description

Hans J. Wegner’s CH101 lounge chair is tightly shaped, but extremely comfortable. It is built over an inner frame of solid beechwood and two arm elements, which are upholstered by hand, according to the best quality standards.

The stainless steel flat frame consists of a longitudinal rail which is joined to the leg with skids at each end. For dimensional stability, the seat and back cushions have a foam core to enhance the comfort. The leather covering is removable and has discretely placed air holes. 

In addition to the lounge chair, the series includes a sofa in three sizes and two coffee tables.

Often referred to as the master of the chair, he has created almost 500 chairs in his lifetime, many of them considered masterpieces. He is considered one of the most creative among Danish furniture designers.
