Aurora Door Handle Olivari

The Aurora door handle by Olivari encloses the delicacy and purity of Murano glass in its design. A way to give even more light to the reflections generated by the brass parts.

The Aurora handle can be fitted with a round or vertical rosette, or oval plate.

Glass and brass are available in different combinations, which also include PVD finishes.

The glass in particular can be blue, transparent or satin.

Also available for windows with DK or Cremonese system.

Description

The Aurora handle was born from an intuition of Alessandro Mendini during a conversation with Antonio Olivari. The idea of inserting a clear glass drop almost became a challenge. The union of metal and glass, something unique and elegant.

Battista Olivari founded the company in 1911 in Borgomanero, Italy. Olivari is synonymous with innovation thanks, for example, to the introduction on the market of anodized aluminum handles and the first plastic handles. In the 2000s, sustainable and high-performance finishes such as Biochrome and Superfinish were born.

Born in Milan, Italy in 1931 and graduated in Architecture at the Polytechnic, Alessandro Mendini has been director of well-known architecture magazines since the 1970s, such as "Casabella", "Modo" and "Domus". His career as an unconventional designer has led him to collaborate with big names such as Zanotta, Alessi, Swatch and Cartier.
