Description

The Chelsea Wood collection includes door and window handles. The unconventional design offers a soft and ergonomic geometry. Initially thought to be made of soft rubber, Nouvel together with Olivari found the perfect material in ceramics.

Battista Olivari founded the company in 1911 in Borgomanero, Italy. Olivari is synonymous with innovation thanks, for example, to the introduction on the market of anodized aluminum handles and the first plastic handles. In the 2000s, sustainable and high-performance finishes such as Biochrome and Superfinish were born.

Jean Nouvel is originally from Fumel, France. His first studio was founded in 1970 and is currently active. His expertise gained in architectural works penetrates interior design up to pure design. This evolution of him leads him in 2005 to collaborate with Olivari.
